trying to get out the door

Holding the nine-month old, trying to keep my almost three year old entertained, and trying to look somewhat put together, we wait for Nana to arrive to watch the kids so the bridesmaids' dresses can be found. Fingers are crossed.

officially under 3

Well, it's now officially under 3 months until the day that my sister and her fiance will say "I do."  The countdown until May 28th has begun. And it only really began on February 17th (the day they booked the place).  When my sister asked me whether or not this was a crazy thing to do, my answer was, "Yes, it's a bit crazy, but we will get it done!" Now the challenge is making that statement a reality.

So far the church is available, the venue is booked, there will be plenty of dancing to the music provided by the fabulous band, the wedding dress is purchased, the floral theme has been given to the florist, and the wedding party is in tact. Tomorrow's events include searching for the bridesmaids' dresses.  Three appointments are made and hopefully a dress will be found.  Seems like we are moving along rather smoothly, but every day has the possibility of bringing about a new challenge.

As far as my own personal challenges go.  Well without being able to say too much(as the bride may be checking in here periodically) the shower needs to be booked, invitations mailed, and creatively executed, preferably by the end of April. With seven bridesmaids, finding a weekend that works for us all is already proving to be difficult. And then there is the bachelorette party. I am also challenging myself to getting into wedding shape in just under three months. Having my second son about nine months ago is really no excuse anymore, but I just haven't quite been able to drop those last few pounds. By few I mean about 15. Okay, I would really love to drop 20.  The plan is boot camp twice a week and as much cardio as I can fit in anywhere else in my life.  We'll see just how close I can get.
